Owner/Director: Angel W. Hilemon~

Miss Angel has been dancing, teaching or performing for nearly 30 years. She attended several dance schools growing up, such as Fletcher's and Ann Dunn's in Asheville, but the majority of her younger dancing years were spent with Theresa Phillips at Backstage Studio in Mars Hill. Angel earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Minor in Dance from East Carolina University in Greenville NC. She is certified to teach by Dance Masters of America, is a certifited Zumba Instructor and member of the Zumba Zin Network.  Angel also continues to train and work with studios and dance instructors from this area as well as attending workshops and conferences around the country. Angel's dance certifications are in Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Acrobatics.  Throughout her dancing career, she has been a member of add dance, a modern dance company formerly in Asheville and has danced with H.I.M., Healing in Motion, a Ecumenical dance group from Asheville. Angel loves children and has three beautiful boys of her own. Angel is very grateful for her gift of dance and the opportunity to share it with others, especially when she can use her dance as a means of worship and to glorify God.  Angel gives full credit of Dimensions' success to Him!  It is her greatest desire that others be blessed by what Dimensions has to offer.

Tina~

Tina Murphy is an Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Certified Aerobic Instructor, a Certified Zumba Instructor and member of the Zumba Zin Network, and a NETA (National Exercise and Trainers Association) Certified Personal Trainer. She has been in the fitness business since 1979 and with Dimensions since 1998. Her career began at the age of 19 starting out as one of Florida’s first Jazzercise Instructors. Within five years, she had moved on and was privileged to be a part of one of the first groups to be certified by AFAA in 1984 in Miami Florida. Among other accomplishments, she holds the 1987 title of Miss Orlando and was the overall winner of the 1987 Citrus Cup Open, both Central Florida bodybuilding competitions. Tina offers classes for students of all fitness levels and a variety of types of classes. You are sure to find a class suited for your needs. If not, she also offers personalized sessions either on going, or a one timer, to sharpen up your form.


Miss Danielle~

 Danielle Buice Plimpton, currently directs the Bailey Mountain Cloggers and the Mars Hill College Dance Team both of Mars Hill College while teaching at Dimensions Studio.  Her background in dance includes: ballet/pointe, jazz, modern, hip hop, irish, and clogging.  She has taught for over 12 years, performed since the age of 5 and has been competiting since the age of 7.  She has won various awards including National Champion Duet in 2003, SC State Solo Clogging Champion 2005, and SC State Duo First Place Champion, 2006 just to name a few.   Danielle has led the Bailey Mountain Cloggers to their 13th – 16th National Titles 2006-2008.  Danielle has toured professionally to Omagh and Dublin Ireland, San Jose Costa Rica, Palma Mallorca Spain, and Quebec Canada and has appreared in “Uncle Earl’s” country music video, Streak O Lean Streak O Fat, that aired on CMT.  She has been assistant choreographer and a teacher at La Dance Dance Studio in Pickens SC in ballet/pointe, jazz, hip hop, clogging and irish.  Danielle graduated from Mars Hill College in 2006 with a B.S. in Fashion/Interior Merchandising & a Minor in Business.   She is very passionate about dance, all dance, not just clogging.  Even though she went to school for clogging, she believes that with good ballet training (she began at age 7), you can do better with any other form of dance. While at MHC, she also studied funk jazz, hip hop, and Bob Fosse Jazz along with her intensive clogging studies.  She has attended workshops with various instructors such as:  Blue Print Cru (ABDC), Loren Micheals, Zoey Cruz (Cruz Productions, and First Select), Alex Lord, and several others.   Danielle is an excellent teacher and choreographer.  Dimensions is fortunate and happy to have Danielle share her passion and love of dance. 

Miss Sarah~

 Sarah Hoffman, currently a student at Mars Hill College, has been dancing since the age of 3 and came to Miss Angel and Dimensions Studio at the age of 4 and continued to dance with Dimensions until graduation from Madison High School in 2009.  Sarah was the first student at Dimensions to receive the 10 Year Award.  Sarah was a member of the All Star Performance Team at Dimensions for many years contributing to community involvement, awards and honors in dance.  She has attended workshops with Dance Masters of America in Greensboro NC, as well as taught at Dimensions 2007-2009.  In 2009-2010 she attended Catawba College and was a member of the Dance Ensemble.  Currently, she is majoring in Biology at Mars Hill College, with plans to attend East Tennessee State University for studies in Nutrition.   Sarah loves kids and loves to dance!  We are so excited to have her on staff at Dimensions Studio. 

MIss Kathryn ~

Kathryn Buice, is the newest instructor on staff at Dimensions Studio.  She received much of her training from the Upstate Carolina Dance Center and has been performing and competing for almost 20 years.  Kathryn has been a member of the prestigious clogging team: the Bailey Mountain Cloggers for 4 and a half years.  Her dancing has taken her to many parts of the United States, as well as, Spain, Canada, and Germany where she has participated in national and international dance festivals.  She loves sharing her passion for dance and is currently attending Mars Hill College.  Kathryn is a member of Delta Zeta, a member of the Mars Hill College Dance Team and majoring in Sociology.  Dimensions is thrilled to have Kathryn with us to teach hip hop!!!
